THESE ARE SOME OF MY FAVORITE SONGS OF ALL TIME

I'VE PUT TOGETHER SOME OF THE SONGS THAT I THOUGHT WERE VERY WELL DONE.

Let's Put the Fun Back in Rock & Roll - Freddie Cannon & Belmonts

THIS COLLABORATION BETWEEN FREDDIE CANNON AND THE BELMONTS WAS RELEASED IN 1981. I WORKED ON THIS SONG AS A PROMOTION MAN ALONG WITH THE BELMONTS. WE WORKED OUT OF AN OFFICE IN A MANHATTAN RECORDING STUDIO WHICH, BY THE WAY, WAS THE SAME STUDIO IN WHICH "BARBARA ANN" WAS RECORDED OVER TWENTY YEARS BEFORE. WE MADE A GAZILLION PHONE CALLS, SENT OUT FREE PRODUCT AND MADE COMMITMENTS FOR PERSONAL APPEARANCES BUT ALTHOUGH THE RECORD DID BREAK INTO THE TOP 100, IT WAS SHORT LIVED.

Please Stay - The Drifters

RUDY LEWIS SINGING LEAD. (A GREAT LEAD SINGER)

Danny Boy - Jackie Wilson

THE GREATEST PERFORMER I EVER HAD THE PLEASURE OF WORKING WITH.

My Hero - The Blue Notes

THIS IS WHAT DOOWOP MUSIC IS ALL ABOUT.

A Little Bit Of Soap - The Jarmels

NOT A GREAT BIG HIT BUT I APPRECIATED THE QUALITY OF THE PRODUCTION.

Sweet Was The Wine - The Marcels

ONE OF THE MOST UNDERRATED GROUPS IN HISTORY. LISTEN TO THAT HARMONY.

If You Love Me - The Happenings

ONE OF THE NICEST GUYS IN THE BUSINESS, JAY SEAGAL of THE TOKENS, PRODUCED THIS GREAT SONG. VERY WELL DONE!

Your Precious Love - Jerry Butler & The Impressions

 WHAT A GREAT LOVE SONG!!!

The Lion Sleeps Tonight - Tony Valitutto

THIS IS MY GOOD FRIEND TONY VALITUTTO REDOING THE TOKENS HIT. IT WAS RECORDED IN MY HOME STUDIO AND I AM PROUD OF THE WONDERFUL JOB HE DID ON IT.

I Got Lucky - Avi Azoulay

THIS IS MY GOOD FRIEND AVI AZOULAY DOING AN ELVIS PRESLEY SONG. AVI IS A BIG PRESLEY FAN AND AMAZINGLY SOUNDS A LOT LIKE HIM. AVI CAME TO THIS COUNTRY FROM ISRAEL SO YOU MIGHT DETECT A SLIGHT ISRAELI ACCENT, (WHICH I THINK SOUNDS VERY CHARMING.)

Zing! Went The Strings of My Heart - The Trammps

LOVE THIS DISCO VERSION OF THE OLD "COASTERS" HIT

Mio Amore - The Flamingos
 BEAUTIFUL BALLAD BY THE FLAMINGOS.
Crazy For You - The Heartbeats

 GREAT EARLY DOOWOP.

What A Surprise - Johnny Maestro

I THINK THIS 1961 RECORDING OF JOHNNIES IS ONE OF HIS BEST.

Bless You - Tony Orlando

THIS IS TONY BEFORE HE HOOKED UP WITH DAWN.

Try Me - James Brown
 EARLY JAMES BROWN BALLAD
To Be Loved - The Reflections

NO!!! IT'S NOT JACKIE WILSON. THIS IS A FAIRLY RECENT RECORDING BY A GROUP WHO COMES FROM DETROIT, (JUST LIKE JACKIE DID). THIS GROUP IS STILL ACTIVE TODAY. THE LEAD SINGER SOUNDS A LOT LIKE JACKIE WILSON. GIVE A LISTEN . . . .

It Happened Today - The Skyliners

LEAD SINGER JIMMY BEAUMONT DOES HIS USUAL GREAT JOB ON THIS ONE.

Don't Pity Me - Dion & The Belmonts

THEY DID LOTS OF GREAT SONGS BUT THIS IS MY ALLTIME FAVORITE BY MY FORMER BRONX NEIGHBORS, DION & THE BELMONTS.

Chain Gang - Rockapella

I'D HAVE TO SAY THAT THIS IS THE MOST SUCCESSFUL A'CAPELLA GROUP EVER. THEY DID COMMERCIALS FOR FOLGERS COFFEE, AND COCA COLA, AMONG OTHERS. THEY ALSO DID THE MUSIC FOR A POPULAR "PBS" KIDDIE SHOW CALLED "WHERE IN THE WORLD IS CARMEN SAN DIEGO". IF YOU THINK YOU ARE HEARING DRUMS ON THIS RECORDING, YOU'RE NOT. THE DRUM SOUND IS MADE BY ONE OF THE GROUP MEMBERS, (JEFF), WHO HAS HIS THROAT MIKED UP AND PRODUCES THOSE SOUNDS VOCALLY!!!

Welcome
